Neko means "cat"*

Neko Case (whose voice I am going to marry) has a new album coming out in March. I've loved her since I first heard her throaty, growly tones on The New Pornographers' Mass Romantic back at the turn of the century. Her solo stuff is so different from her work with the Canadian/American super-group with the problematic name, but it's grown on me, especially since I got to see her live back in August at the Gallivan Center.

Anyway, I tell you that so I can tell you this: for every blog that posts her latest single, "People Got A Lotta Nerve", and/or iLike user who adds it to their profile Neko and ANTI- will make a cash donation to Best Friends Animal Society, until February 3rd. Awesome, ne? So, I thought I'd put in my usual incredible effort and do the very least I could do.
